Cryotherapy or cold therapy as it's also known as is a safe and highly effective procedure that is used to freeze and destroy benign skin lesions. The treatment will involve minimal discomfort and few side effects. Cryopen uses liquefied nitrous oxide to destroy the tissue by freezing the lesion from the inside. With it's quick and pain-free treatment, you can remove unsightly warts, skin tags and age spots.
Treatment Method
Cryopen emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows me to work with millimetre precision, this means there will be no damage to healthy tissue.
First Cycle - Freeze
The applicator is held as close as possible to the skin imperfection and moved quickly towards and away from it.
This could be from 1-30 seconds, depending on the size and depth.
Thaw
After the first freeze cycle, the tissue is allowed to thaw for about 30 seconds.
Second Cycle - Freeze
The second freeze cycle can begin, the tissue will freeze faster than during the first cycle.
